Higher Education and Scientific Research Minister Ayman Ashour has underlined the importance of promoting scientific research to overcome all crises, such as the Covid-19 pandemic.

The minister’s remarks came on Monday at the opening ceremony of the seventh edition of the Cairo International Exhibition of Innovation.

The Higher Education Ministry invested in the domains of technology and innovation to create a suitable climate for researchers over the past years and contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Strategy (SDS): Egypt Vision 2030, he said.

The minister reaffirmed that the state is keen to back innovation and technology development to strengthen efforts aimed at establishing a knowledge-based economy and develop a more innovative and creative society.
