High turnout of visitors to National Museum of Egyptian Civilization during Eidul-Adha

The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat received a large number of visitors during the first and second days of Eid al-Adha.

The museum’s administration welcomed the guests and visitors and offered them sweets and chocolates as a welcoming gesture. The visitors were very happy and praised this warm gesture.

CEO of the Museum’s Authority Ahmed Ghoneim explained that a photobooth with augmented reality was launched at the museum’s headquarters on the first day of Eid al-Adha. The photobooth can be used by visitors to take pictures with artifacts that are not allowed to be photographed, without any real contact with the artifacts.

Vice-Chairman of the Museum Authority for Administration and Operation Fayrouz Fekry stated that visitors were very happy with this distinguished experience.

It is worth noting that visitors can take many photos with different artifacts or re-photograph the captured photos, then a special code is extracted from the photobooth to obtain the photos, whether for printing or to be sent via the visitors’ e-mail.
