Health Minister Evaluates Healthcare Services for Palestinians in North Sinai


ABU TAWILA: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, along with Minister of Social Solidarity Maya Morsi, visited ambulances of the Egyptian Ambulance Authority in Abu Tawila Village in Sheikh Zuweid, North Sinai. This inspection follows directives from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi aimed at supporting Palestinian patients and those injured arriving in Egypt from the Gaza Strip.



According to State Information Service Egypt, the President’s orders included providing healthcare and medical assistance to Palestinian patients and ensuring the necessary medical support for those evacuated from the conflict zone. The health minister’s visit to Arish Airport marked the beginning of his oversight trip to the North Sinai governorate, focusing on the quality and readiness of medical services for Palestinians.



Spokesman for the Health and Population Ministry, Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, stated that the minister’s visit was intended to assess the quality of healthcare services available to patients and injured individuals. The evaluation also covered the availability of medicines, medical equipment, and a sufficient supply of blood of all types. Furthermore, the inspection included an examination of ambulance points and mobile clinics situated around Al-Arish to ensure they are well-equipped to handle the medical needs of the incoming patients.
