Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar discussed with members of the Saudi-Egyptian Business Council promoting bilateral cooperation as well as upping Egyptian-Saudi investments in the health sector.

In a statement Friday, Spokesperson for the Health Ministry Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said the minister probed with members of the council means of promoting partnership between the public and private sectors in both countries, along with the possibility of exchanging expertise in the healthcare sphere.

Meantime, the meeting took up increasing investment opportunities between Egypt and Saudi Arabia in a number of projects, besides future plans of the Arab Company for Drug Industries and Medical Appliances (ACDIMA) and the Holding Company for Biological Products and Vaccines (VACSERA), including building and ramping out hospitals, along with overhauling the infrastructure of healthcare facilities and cooperation vistas in the medical tourism field, according to the spokesman.

The two sides also underlined the importance of exchanging expertise among the two countries in the various health-related domains, the spokesman said.
