Health min. accompanies his Greek counterpart on tour of Health Insurance Hospital in NAC
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar inspected the Health Insurance Hospital in the New Administrative Capital (NAC), accompanied by Greek Minister of Health Adonis Georgiadis.
This came on the sidelines of the Global Congress on Population, Health and Human Development (PHDC’24), which is being held in NAC under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi from October 21 to 25.
Health ministry spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said the two ministers were posted on the hospital’s services and operational system, as the facility, which works 24/7, is considered the nucleus of the medical city to be housed by NAC. The hospital, built on an area of ??25,000 square meters, has a capacity of 200 beds. Its main building consists of a basement, a ground floor, and 5 additional floors.
According to the spokesman, the two ministers were keen to inspect the outpatient clinics, whic
h include 12 specialized clinics including those of heart, bones, chest, children, general internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, family planning services, ophthalmia and vascular and vein, in addition to three dental clinics.
The tour included stops at the laboratories department, the state-of-the-art CT scan department, the intensive care department, pediatric incubators, the mammogram unit, the MRI room, as well as the cardiac catheterization unit.
Georgiadis praised the efforts exerted by the Egyptian state to advance the health system and improve public health services, stressing keenness on continuing to strengthen bilateral cooperation and share expertise.
