HAMIEH DISCUSSES LAND TRANSPORTATION TARIFF WITH TLEISSit’s Historic Role in supporting Palestinian people and Stop Aggression

Caretaker Minister of Public Works and Transportation, Ali Hamieh, on Wednesday met with Bassam Tleiss, head of land transport unions in Lebanon, with who he discussed issues within the transportation sector.

Hamieh highlighted the sector’s importance and ongoing efforts to address challenges, including determining public transportation tariffs amidst currency fluctuations.

Tleiss praised the ministry’s efforts and emphasized the need for temporary tariff issuance and regular evaluation.

In turn, Hamieh instructed the Directorate of Land and Maritime Transport to collaborate with unions to propose tariff values for further review, ensuring the interests of all stakeholders are considered.

Chairman of (SIS) Diaa Rashawn, said that the dangerous developments and events that has been witnessed in the Middle East region have confirmed the pivotal role and major responsibility that Egypt bears in the region, in the face of the major risks it is exposed to .

He has pointed out that Egypt, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, has played its role and assumed its historical responsibility in confronting the dangers that are ravaging the region and shaking the entire world.

History will record that the leadership and people in Egypt stood with strength and unwavering determination to protect the land of Egypt and its national security.

Defending the Palestinian cause and confronting the attempt to marginalize it and undermine the remaining rights of the Palestinian people, foremost of which is their right to life, self-determination, and establishing their state on their land, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with the decisions of international legitimacy.

ame in the opening of the new issue of the ‘Studies in Human Rights’ Periodical that is issued by the State Information Service, (SIS) where the Head of the State Information Service reviewed Egypt’s efforts from the first moment the situation erupted in Gaza and the Palestinian territories, Pointing out that Egypt continues to make an intensive effort to curb the aggression, support the Palestinian people in Gaza, and expose the plans of the occupation, and is also struggling to provide aid to Gaza.

Chairman of (SIS) Diaa Rashawn has explained that from the first moment of the crisis, Egypt has been the center of the international political movement and the destination of world leaders in order to confront one of the most dangerous crises threatening the region and the security and stability of the world.

The events have reaffirmed that Egypt is the most important and influential party in the stability of the Middle East, and the most capable of protecting its security and interests and supporting truth an
d justice for the sake of stability and peace, which Egypt has been and continues to be a pioneer in achieving for the future of all the peoples of the region.

Chairman of (SIS) Diaa Rashawn, said that t ‘Studies in Human Rights’ Periodical is a peer-reviewed academic quarterly issued by the State Information Service in Arabic, English, and French, and its Editor-in-Chief is Abdel Muti Abu Zaid, the Agency’s External Media Advisor, and the Editorial Director, Dr. Ghada Helmy.

Pointing out that this periodical has obtained international print and electronic numbering as an accredited academic periodical as a prestigious scientific and research source.

The new issue of the periodical included a complete file on violations of human rights and international humanitarian law by the occupation forces in their brutal aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza. A group of experts, specialists and Professors of international law participated in this studies.

The issue also included documented studies, inclu
ding a study on ‘The International Community’s responsibility for Crimes and Climate Change Damage,’ a study on ‘The Role of the Egyptian State in promoting Digital Transformation in Economic courts,’ a study on ‘Policies to combat human rights violations regarding Irregular Migrants,’ and a study on ‘Guarantees for Interrogation of the accused in the Code of Criminal Procedure in Egypt. in addition to many reports, follow-up of international resolutions, conferences, and recent books in the field of human rights.
