DUBAI, 13th July, 2023 (WAM) — Hamdan Sports Complex has hosted the Qatari Junior and Youth National Swimming Team training camp as part of the Qatari Swimming Team’s preparations for international competitions during the next sports season. The three-week camp, which continues until 20th July 2023, comprises 12 swimmers 15 to 18 years old and the trainers and technical bodies. Participating swimmers are trained in the various kinds of swimming twice daily at the Complex. Several official persons in the Arabian and international sports clubs and federations visited Dubai recently to arrange for camps during the upcoming period and to benefit from the distinctive sports and tourist facilities and shopping centres of Dubai, besides the spectacular atmospheres in the Emirate. In this regard, many European and world clubs have already booked their winter camps; parts of these clubs are the Russians’ FC Rostov, Krasnodar, Dynamo Moscow, and Spartak Moscow, the most ancient and most popular club in Russia, which won the Soviet Premier League’s title 12 times, the Soviet Union Cup 10 times, Russian League’s title 10 time, Russia Cup 4 times and the Russian Super Cup. The Celtic Football Club of Scotland has also booked to organise a camp in the Emirate. Several sports clubs, national teams, and prominent stars of the sport in general and football, in particular, will arrive in Dubai during the upcoming period to arrange training camps as part of their preparations for the various sports competitions. Dubai continues attracting further international training camps for clubs and national teams in various sports and age groups. More than 120 training camps were held throughout the last year in many locations of the Emirate; these were: Hamdan Sports Complex, where several trainings and championships are heldNad Al-Sheba Sports Complex/clubs and various resorts in the Emirate, which comprises full-equipped sports stadiums and facilities of global popularity. International training camps have become an eminent source in the sports sector to support the domestic product in Dubai, thanks to the constant increase of clubs and national teams which choose Dubai as a destination for their training camps.
