ABU DHABI: H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), was briefed about ERC’s achievements during the first quarter of 2024, both domestically and internationally.
This came when Sheikh Hamdan received Dr. Hamdan Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the ERC’s Board of Directors, in the presence of several officials at Al Nakheel Palace.
Sheikh Hamdan directed enhancing the ERC’s humanitarian and developmental response and the achievement of more gains for its beneficiaries in the country and abroad.
He also reviewed the strategic plan to develop Alghadeer Emirati Crafts, which aims to support craftsmen with low income through sustainable crafts and enhance their economic and social well-being.
Sheikh Hamdan commended the project’s programmes and goals, as it is a leading initiative by the ERC to build capabilities and empower needy families socially.
He also directed to proceed with the implementation of the plan to provide oppo
rtunities for a larger number of artisans nationwide to benefit from Alghadeer Emirati Crafts programmes in the future.
