Hamas reveals details of meeting with Qatari and Egyptian foreign ministers

Cairo – Ma’an – The Hamas negotiating delegation, headed by Dr. Khalil Al-Hayya, met with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman and Minister Abbas Kamel, head of the Egyptian General Intelligence Service, in the Qatari capital, Doha, on Wednesday, September 11, 2024.

Hamas explained in a statement that the developments regarding the Palestinian issue and the aggression on the Gaza Strip were reviewed.

The movement’s delegation welcomed the Egyptian/Qatari role and their efforts in the indirect negotiations to stop the aggression on the Palestinian people.

It stressed the movement’s continued positivity and flexibility in order to reach an agreement to cease fire in the Gaza Strip and withdraw the occupation army from the entire territory of the Gaza Strip, in a way that achieves the interests of our people and paves the way for a prisoner exchange deal, relief for our people, the return of the displaced, and reconstruction.

Hamas said it is ready to immediately impleme
nt the ceasefire agreement based on President Biden’s announcement on 05/31/2024, Security Council Resolution 2735, and what was previously agreed upon, especially the agreements of 07/02/2024, without setting any new demands, and rejecting any new conditions for this agreement by any party.

Hamas rejected any projects related to the post-cessation of aggression on the Gaza Strip, stressing that the management of the Strip is an internal Palestinian affair that is agreed upon with an agreed-upon Palestinian vision.

It welcomed holding a comprehensive national dialogue with all Palestinian factions and forces to agree on a national vision to confront the repercussions of the current stage and unify the national arena, stressing its responsiveness to the efforts of the mediators, and welcoming the continuation of their role and efforts to reach a ceasefire, the withdrawal of the occupation army from the entire territory of the Gaza Strip, relief for our people, the exchange of prisoners, and reconstruction.
