The Cabinet’s media center denied news about issuing a decision to cancel the anti-dumping duties on rebar imports.

In a statement on Monday, the media center said it contacted the Ministry of Trade and Industry, which denied the news, stressing that there is no validity in canceling dumping duties on imports of rebar, and that no decisions have been issued in this regard, stressing that dumping duties apply to imports of rebar, in accordance with Ministerial Resolution No. 189 – issued on June 1, 2023 – which stipulates extending the work With the provisions of Ministerial Resolution No. 1525 of 2017 to impose anti-dumping duties on dumped imports of rebar (skewers, coils, bars and sticks) of origin or exported from Turkey, Ukraine and China, for a period of 4 years from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.
