Government Services Center in Tafileh openes

Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Sami Smeirat, officially opened on Wednesday the Government Services Center in Al-Qadisiyah area in Tafileh Governorate, southern Jordan.

According to a ministry statement, the center provides 113 government services belonging to 26 government institutions.

This is the fourth government services center that has been officially opened so far, and more will be opened successively in various governorates of the Kingdom within specific timelines, in implementation of the outputs of the economic modernization vision and the executive program of the public sector modernization map, the statement added.

During the opening, Smeirat was briefed on the functioning of the services provided at the center, stressing the government’s commitment to improving the efficiency and quality of government services in a way that allows citizens to see an improvement in the quality of the service provided to them.

He stressed the need to expand the scope of services provided in t
he centers and consider the possibility of adding new services that are not listed in order to facilitate service provision to citizens.

Samirat lauded the efforts of the trained and qualified workers in these centers, whose work aims to facilitate procedures for citizens and enable them to access government services through a single portal and allow access to these services outside official working hours and on holidays, which is in line with the royal directives aimed at facilitating and simplifying procedures and reducing burdens on citizens.

Three previous centers were opened in Amman’s Muqabalain area, Irbid, and Queen Alia International Airport.
