Cairo: The government is placing significant emphasis on the sports sector by implementing strategies and policies aimed at enhancing its development, as stated by the Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC).

According to State Information Service Egypt, a report issued by IDSC highlights the significant improvements observed in the sports sector, particularly over recent years. The report emphasizes the modernization of sports infrastructure as part of broader development projects.

The report details the state’s efforts in advancing the sports sector, noting that the total cost of developing sports infrastructure reached approximately EGP 416.49 million in 2023. Additionally, it outlines the expenditure on developing sports facilities, including building equipment, which amounted to EGP 117.98 million in 2023, compared to EGP 43.26 million in 2022.
