Gov Games 2024 receives sponsorship from 4 national entities


DUBAI: The Organising Committee of the Gov Games has signed sponsorship agreements with four national institutions including the First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), Dubai Festival City, Home Bakery, and Al Fares International Tents to support the fifth edition of the high-energy team-building challenge.

Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, the 2024 Gov Games take place from 29 February to 3 March. The initiative was launched in 2018 and has since become one of Dubai’s major team sports events, testing the physical and mental abilities of government employees and other participants from around the world.

The 2024 Gov Games, proudly presented by official partner DP World and golden sponsors Emirates General Petroleum Corporation (Emarat) and Damac Properties, is poised to mark a significant milestone in its remarkable journey.

s of teams who take on physical and mental challenges in the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie. The courses are designed to bring out the best in all the competitors regardless of their ability and ultimately everyone is pushed to their limits.

‘Thanks to His Highness Sheikh Hamdan’s support, the Gov Games have become an integral part of Dubai’s sports calendar. The games are a great demonstration of how fitness, sports and teamwork are embedded in life in Dubai.’

Through pushing participants to their limits, the games inspire people to redefine ‘impossible’ and turn challenges into opportunities.’

This year, Gov Games will introduce a new category, welcoming junior participants aged 10 to 13. The aim is to instil strategic thinking, teamwork, and mental and physical strength among youth. Participants will undergo an enriching experience that strengthens their character and motivates them to self-improve.

The previous four editions of Gov Games were runaway successes, with participations from local and federal government entities and teams representing communities and international cities.
