Gold prices in Egypt drop, gram 21k hits EGP 1,190

Gold prices fell on Monday at the beginning of Monday’s trading, tracking a decline in global rates.

Gold Gram 21K went down by EGP 20 to stand at EGP 1,190, while gold gram 18K registered about EGP 1,020 and gold gram 24K reached EGP 1,360.

The price of the gold coin on Monday recorded EGP 9,520.

Meanwhile, the dollar climbed to its highest levels in two decades on Monday, with investors seeking out this safe haven amid concerns about global economic growth as well as searching for yield.
