The President of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev, said that Bulgarian industrial enterprises provide thousands of jobs and opportunities for professional development and not only form the backbone of Bulgaria’s extractive and manufacturing industry, but also contribute significantly to ensuring this country’s raw material and economic independence. He made this statement while speaking at an award ceremony in the Coat of Arms Hall at the President’s Administration building in Sofia on Monday.
In a statement carried by the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA), President Radev said that the importance of the Bulgarian industry grows even more against the backdrop of the struggle for natural resources worldwide and the search for ways to accelerate the revival of industrial production in Europe.
President Radev presented state honours for services to Bulgaria’s economic development. The Head of State decorated Prof. Tzolo Voutov, Krasimir Dachev, and Prof. Nikolai Valkanov with the First Class Order of the Balkan Range.

alko Dulevski received a First Class Order for Civil Merit, for contributing to a stronger Economic and Social Council as a democratic institution.
Assoc. Prof. Nikola Dobrev received the President’s Badge of Honour for his exceptional achievements in the field of metallurgy and the management of the non-ferrous metals factory in Plovdiv, and for his benefactor activity in support of Bulgarian culture and art.
