NEW YORK: The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai has been awarded the prestigious Stevie Awards (Gold Category) for Innovation in Human Resources Management, Planning and Practice, recognising its impressive track record and leadership in talent management and organisational development.
The award was presented at the 9th annual Stevie Awards for Great Employers 2024, held in New York City, USA. GDRFA Dubai earned this honour for its ‘Organisational Development and Talent Planning System’ project.
Major Brigadier Awad Al Awaim, Assistant General Director of Human Resources and Finance Sector at GDRFA Dubai, stressed that the Directorate has built a strong foundation and fostered an innovative work environment by integrating modern scientific principles into its institutional framework.

elopment of numerous national talents and competencies.
He added that the Directorate has introduced an innovative model focused on managing organisational structures as a central component of organisational affairs, particularly in talent management. Thanks to implementing a rigorous system based on modern scientific principles, the Directorate has earned prestigious awards and garnered global recognition.
The award was received by Aisha Saeed Al Mazrouei, Head of the Career Needs and Emiratization Department, and Maryam Mohammed Al Badawi, Head of the Organisational Structures Department, during a ceremony attended by top executives and leaders from globally distinguished organisations in human resources management and career satisfaction.
The award-winning ‘Organisational Development and Talent Planning System’ project prioritises organisational agility and flexibility. It operates under an integrated talent management framework, combining organisational competence with strategic workforce planning.
