The Ministry of Health in Gaza has refused to accept a container from the Israeli occupation containing 88 unidentified bodies, stating that it cannot receive the remains without essential information on the identities, times of death, and the location of recovery of the bodies.
In a statement, the ministry emphasized that families have the right to know the fate of their loved ones, underscoring that the bodies would not be accepted until full details are provided.
The ministry urged human rights organizations and international bodies, particularly the International Committee of the Red Cross, to ensure transparent procedures for the transfer of bodies, with proper documentation on names, ages, and locations from which the remains were recovered.
It also stressed the importance of adhering to international and humanitarian standards, asserting that the dignity and rights of the deceased must be respected.
