GAZA: On the 280th day of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, rescue and civil defense teams recovered the bodies of approximately 60 Palestinians from Tal al-Hawa neighborhood of Gaza City, tragically killed during the recent Israeli military offensive in the area.

Israeli forces pulled out yesterday from Tal al-Hawa and the western area of Gaza City after a week-long incursion, allowing emergency responders access to the region early this morning.

According to eyewitnesses, the occupation forces executed entire families, including children, women and elderly, inside their homes in Tel al-Hawa.

The International Committee of the Red Cross released a statement today announcing that it has received hundreds of calls in recent days from desperate individuals seeking help; with entire families trapped and in need of safety, adding that the need is far greater than the capacity to respond.

Medical sources at the Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza City reported that 56 bodies were retrieved from Tel al-Hawa and
the Industrial Zone in the city by 10 am local time. Additionally, emergency teams extracted five bodies from inside the Patient’s Friends Hospital in western Gaza City.

Eyewitnesses conveyed harrowing scenes of dozens of bodies strewn across the ground and buried under the rubble of destroyed homes in Tel al-Hawa and the Industrial Zone. The extensive damage to infrastructure was exacerbated by Israeli forces setting fire to several houses before their retreat.

In Rafah, southern Gaza, two civilians were reported killed in an Israeli drone strike on the Tel al-Sultan neighborhood.

Furthermore, a number of individuals sustained injuries in intense airstrikes and artillery bombardment by Israeli forces targeting the northern part of the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, necessitating their transfer to the al-Awda Hospital.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October last year has so far resulted in 38,345 documented Palestinian fatalities, with an additional 88,295 others injured.

The toll o
n civilians continues to mount as the Israeli aggression shows no signs of abating, with the humanitarian situation in Gaza growing increasingly dire.
