The city of Sidon and its suburbs on Tuesday experienced significant congestion at fuel stations and bakeries due to a large influx of displaced individuals from the south and the ongoing developments in the current situation. Some bakeries and fuel stations have reportedly closed their doors despite having available stock.
In response, the General Directorate of State Security in the South has deployed patrols to inspect supplies at these establishments, issuing violation reports against those found in breach of regulations.
This action comes upon the directive of the South’s public prosecutor, Judge Rahif Ramadan, aimed at preventing any hoarding or exploitation of citizens amid the ongoing conflict.
