Four Palestinians were wounded by live ammunition and dozens suffered from suffocation today in an Israeli military raid into the town of Hizma, located northeast of occupied Jerusalem, according to medical sources.
The forces besieged a mosque in the town, prompting confrontations with local residents following the Friday prayer, local sources said. During the confrontations, the forces use live ammunition and teargas against the local residents, resulting in four injuries.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRC) said the injuries included two individuals shot in the foot, one hit by live ammunition shrapnel in the chest, and another sustaining shrapnel in the eye. Additionally, numerous residents experienced suffocation due to the indiscriminate firing of tear gas and stun grenades by the Israeli occupation forces.
