The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomed today the international positions that condemned the racist incitement statements made by the extremist Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir. In a statement, the Ministry considered that this is a step in the right direction, noting, however, that it is not sufficient; particularly since these statements express absolute hatred towards the Palestinian Arabs. It called for real US and international pressure on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamen Netanyahu to dismiss Ben Gvir and arrest him as a punishment. The ministry affirmed that settler terrorism has escalated in an unprecedented way against Palestinian citizens because they feel protected, supported, and backed by Ben Gvir. The Foreign Ministry held the Israeli occupation government and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu directly and fully responsible for these repeated positions and statements.
