The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates today condemned the refusal of the Israeli courts to remove buildings recently built in the illegal Israeli settlement of Eli, stressing that the Israeli courts and judiciary are an integral part of the Israeli occupation and settlement regime in the occupied territories. In a press statement, the Foreign Ministry said “this reflects that the decisions of Israeli courts are based on politics rather than on any relevant legislation”. The Foreign Ministry urged the International Criminal Court to bear its responsibility in issuing arrest warrants against Israeli officials complicit in the settlement crime.
