RAMALLAH: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the provocative visit of the extremist fascist Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich to the ‘Psagot’ settlement, built illegally on Palestinian land in the occupied West Bank, near the city of al-Bireh.
In a statement, the ministry also condemned the racist colonial statements and positions he made, including attacking and leveling accusations against the Palestinian National Authority, in an attempt to hide his dark extremist plans and ideology in support of colonialism and the terrorist colonists.
The ministry considered this incursion into the occupied West Bank a new aggression against the Palestinian people that reveals the ambitions of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s far-right coalition in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, which is based on accelerating the pace of land seizures and deepening the declared and undeclared gradual annexation of the occupied West Bank.
The ministry called on the internatio
nal community and the U.S. administration to put pressure on the Israeli government to stop its open war against the Palestinian people and the encroachment of the Israeli extreme right and its followers of the extremist colonists on Palestinian civilians, particularly in light of the serious escalation in state-organized terror.
