Foreign Ministry Celebrates 80th Anniversary of Establishing Arab League


Cairo: Egypt is celebrating the 80th anniversary of establishing the Arab League (AL), marking a significant milestone for the organization that has served as a platform for joint Arab action since its inception on March 22, 1945, in Cairo.



According to State Information Service Egypt, the Foreign Ministry has issued a statement expressing Egypt’s pride in its historical role in founding, supporting, and hosting the headquarters of the Arab League. The AL has been instrumental in enhancing cooperation between Arab countries across various political, economic, social, and cultural fields.



The statement highlights Egypt’s praise for the Arab League’s efforts in defending Arab interests and coordinating actions among Arab countries to address both regional and international challenges. The AL has been pivotal in supporting Arab causes and achieving the aspirations of Arab peoples, significantly contributing to the mobilization of Arab efforts for independence and the liberation of Arab territories.



Furthermore, the statement underscores the ongoing efforts of the Arab League in coordinating common positions and visions to tackle challenges facing the Arab nation.
