Amman: Jordanian citizens can now receive round-the-clock consular services at the Kunooz Hospitality Hotel in Mecca, located near the Al-Mansour Bridge. This announcement was made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs. The office is temporarily affiliated with the Jordanian Consulate General in Jeddah.
This occurred as a result of the Ministry’s efforts to assist Jordanian citizens in Mecca during this time, to ease their difficulties and spare them the trouble of traveling to the Jordanian Consulate General in Jeddah, as well as to follow up on the search operations for missing Jordanian pilgrims and the procedures for burying pilgrims who died while performing the Hajj.
Ambassador Sufian Qudah, the ministry’s spokesperson, reaffirmed that the cell established by the ministry will persist in its duties of monitoring the conditions of Jordanian pilgrims, round the clock, in collaboration with the Jordanian Consulate General in Jeddah, the Jordanian Embassy in Riyadh, the mission of the
Jordanian Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, and with the assistance of the competent Saudi authorities.
