Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, received a phone call on October 3, 2024, from the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates of the Kingdom of Morocco, Nasser Bourita.

During the call, Minister Abdelatty addressed the Israeli aggression against Lebanon and the Gaza Strip, whereby he discussed with his Moroccan counterpart the overall developments witnessed in the region over the past days, as well as the ongoing efforts aimed at reaching a ceasefire, endeavoring towards de-escalation, and sparing the region from sliding into a full-fledged regional war.

Dr. Abdelatty also reiterated full solidarity with sisterly Lebanon and support for its national institutions in these critical circumstances, and striving to preserve its stability, unity and sovereignty. He stressed the rejection of any attempts to entrench a new situation on the ground that would undermine Lebanese sovereignty, noting that the ongoing escalation portends
the dangers of fueling the region in a manner that leads to dire security and humanitarian consequences.
