Kampala: Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty arrived in Uganda on Thursday, marking the beginning of a series of diplomatic engagements aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between Egypt and Uganda. During his visit, Abdelatty is expected to deliver a message from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the foreign minister’s itinerary includes crucial discussions with his Ugandan counterpart, Jeje Odongo. These talks are anticipated to address various aspects of cooperation between the two nations, focusing on enhancing mutual interests and strategic partnerships.
In addition to governmental discussions, Abdelatty is set to meet with a group of Ugandan businessmen and representatives of the Egyptian community residing in Uganda. These meetings aim to promote economic ties and support the Egyptian diaspora, thereby fostering stronger economic and cultural connections between the two countries.
