Forbes has named Suez Canal Authority (SCA) Chairman Osama Rabie in its list of the most powerful CEOs in the Middle East for the year 2022.
In a statement Wednesday, the SCA said that this year’s list includes 100 leaders from 26 nationalities.
Rabie is one of the top ten best CEO’s in the Middle East, added the statement.
The move came in appreciation of tireless efforts exerted by the SCA and its success in registering big leap in the revenues. despite the numerous global challenges.
Additionally, 20,694 ships crossed the canal during 2021, with a total net tonnage reaching up to 1.32 billion.
The navigation statistics in the canal for 2021 set new and unprecedented records, achieving the highest annual revenue in the history of the canal at a total of dlrs 6.3 billion.
The international waterway also achieved highest annual revenue in its history during the fiscal year 2021/2022, with dlrs 7 billion, surpassing all numbers that have been recorded before.
