Jeddah: Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration Badr Abdelatty has underlined the importance of cementing ties and cooperation with Uzbekistan in different domains, particularly trade and investment ones. The minister’s remarks came Saturday during a meeting with his Uzbek counterpart Bakhtiyor Saidov on the sidelines of the extraordinary session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council at the foreign ministers’ level.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Abdelatty voiced Cairo’s keenness to build on fruitful political consultations between both countries in September and December to strengthen bilateral ties. Both sides also discussed ways to foster bilateral cooperation in fields related to medication, food industries, textile and infrastructure, among others.
