Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, and Qatari Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani discussed on the phone on Tuesday the “serious deterioration” in the region as a result of Israel’s ongoing aggression on Gaza and its violations of international law.

The ministers tackled the repercussions of the assassination of Hamas political bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran last week.

Safadi and Sheikh Mohammed stressed that halting the aggression on Gaza is the first step to defuse tension and escalation, which threatens to push the entire region towards further conflict and wars.

The ministers agreed to continue coordination and consultation and work together to stop the aggression on Gaza and end the catastrophe there.
