FM Participates in Ceremony on Restoration of Smuggled Egyptian Artifacts in Paris


Paris: Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration Badr Abdelatty, currently in Paris, participated on Thursday in a ceremony marking the restoration of some smuggled Egyptian artifacts.



According to State Information Service Egypt, the Egyptian embassy managed to recover the smuggled Egyptian artifacts in coordination with the French interior ministry. Abdelatty lauded the efforts exerted by the French authorities in restoring the smuggled Egyptian antiquities.



He asserted the importance of intensifying efforts to hunt smugglers of Egyptian artifacts. Abdelatty gave directives to swiftly finalize measures for shipping the restored antiquities back home. He also praised the efforts exerted by Egyptian missions abroad to restore smuggled Egyptian artifacts.
