The official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ambassador Sufian Qudah, said that Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, will meet next Saturday in Amman with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken. Qudah added that Safadi will discuss with his US counterpart the catastrophic conditions in Gaza and will stress the necessity of immediate action to stop the Israeli war on the Strip, deliver urgent and humanitarian aid to Gaza, protect civilians, and the need for Israel to adhere to international law and international humanitarian law. Ambassador Qudah indicated that Safadi continues his regional and international contacts to formulate effective international action to reach a ceasefire and end the humanitarian catastrophe caused by the raging Israeli war. According to Qudah, Safadi will warn that failure to stop this war and the killing of thousands of Palestinian civilians and war crimes committed by Israel, including depriving Gazans of food, medicines, and other basic services, are rapidly pushing the region towards the abyss of a regional war that will threaten international peace and security.
