Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty emphasized the critical role that national media institutions play in elevating public awareness about the unprecedented external challenges confronting Egypt in recent years.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the minister made these comments during his visit to the Egyptian Radio and Television Union’s building in the Maspero area. During the visit, Abdelatty held discussions with Chairman of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation Khaled Abdel Aziz and Chairman of the National Media Authority Ahmed el-Maslamani.
Abdelatty praised the significant progress achieved by national media institutions, highlighting their contributions to fostering a national identity, instilling loyalty, and shaping the political culture of citizens amid ongoing regional developments. He underscored the importance of media outlets in diplomatic efforts and their role in supporting national interests through effective communication of national messages.
The discussions also explored joint cooperation and training programs between the Foreign Ministry and national media institutions. The talks included an examination of training courses organized in collaboration with media professionals from various countries, aiming to strengthen the capacity-building in the fields of diplomacy and media.
