On the sidelines of the Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement Coordinating Bureau in the Azerbaijani capital, Baku, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Riyad al-Maliki, held a series of bilateral meetings with his Venezuelan, Nicaraguan, Iraqi, Belarusian, Iranian and Russian counterparts, said a statement issued by the ministry. Malki briefed his counterparts on the latest political developments and the situation on the ground in the occupied Palestinian territories, including the violations and crimes inflicted upon the Palestinian people, particularly the latest Israeli occupation’s aggression against Jenin and its camp. He recalled the importance of the Palestinian leadership’s recent decisions and the intensification of political and diplomatic movements to put these decisions into action and mobilize international support for the Palestinian issue. They also discussed ways to promote cooperative relations between the two countries in various fields. Malki urged for supporting and protecting the two-state solution in the face of the illegitimate Israeli measures of settlement activities and imposing facts on the ground to enforce the system of apartheid in occupied Palestine.
