FM Holds Talks in New York with Rwandan Peer


United Nations (New York) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, Nasser Bourita, on Tuesday held talks in New York with his Rwandan counterpart, Olivier Nduhungirehe.

During the meeting, held on the sidelines of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, the two ministers praised the ties of friendship and solidarity between Rabat and Kigali.

They also praised the quality of the feelings of esteem and respect characterizing the relationship between their Heads of State, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, and the President of the Republic of Rwanda, Paul Kagame.

The two ministers also discussed ways of bolstering bilateral cooperation to match the aspirations of both countries.

The meeting, which was part of the regular exchanges between the two parties, provided an opportunity to review the state of cooperation between the two countries and to address regional and international issues of common interest.

Bourita and his Rwandan counterpart noted with satisfaction their co
nvergence of views on the various issues raised and stressed the importance of strengthening coordination in the various regional and international multilateral platforms.
