Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry is set to head to the Indian Capital, New Delhi, on Tuesday 28/2/2023 to partake in the G20 foreign ministers meeting on March 1-2, said Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid.
Egypt is taking part in the G20 ministerial gathering as a guest country, at the invitation of India, which currently chairs the intergovernmental forum of the world’s major economies.
The spokesman added the foreign minister will attend two panel discussions on food and energy security, multilateral action, development cooperation, counter-terrorism and global skill mapping, as well as humanitarian aid and disaster relief.
The foreign minister will also hold a number of bilateral meetings with his counterparts, on the sidelines of the G20 gathering, the spokesman noted.
Shoukry will also participate in the Raisina Dialogue on March 2-4, as he will speak at a session titled “From the Mediterranean to the Arabian Sea: A Region of Opportunities”, in addition to giving a speech at a panel discussion on addressing climate change and achieving just transition to new and renewable energy.
