Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty asserted on Saturday 17/8/2024 that France plays a pivotal role in achieving stability in the region.
Egypt and France have a big responsibility for promoting joint coordination to ease tension in the region, Abdelatty added at a joint press conference with his French counterpart Stéphane Séjourné.
He said “I welcome the visit of minister Séjourné to Egypt and appreciate France’s active role at a critical juncture in the Middle East region.”
The foreign minister further pointed out that the promotion of strategic partnership between Egypt and France is considered a key priority to Egypt.
He added President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a fruitful meeting with the French minister in which they tackled all vistas of bilateral cooperation and strategic and friendly ties, in addition to focusing on a number of regional issues, topped by the current crisis in the Gaza Strip.

ed the talks which he held in Cairo on the Palestinian issue.
He underlined Egypt’s leverage to avoid a regional war, achieve peace and ease the situation in the Middle East region.
He said this is his fourth visit to Cairo in six months, thus highlighting Egypt as a key partner to France.
Underscoring Egypt’s pivotal role in the region, he pointed out that his talks in Cairo tackled several urgent issues in the region and means of enhancing bilateral relations.
He stressed the importance of ending Gaza war, ceasing fire and releasing hostages and detainees.
He accentuated the importance of easing the situation in the region, highlighting the importance of the Egyptian-French partnership.
