Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, received a phone call from the United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Tor Wennesland, discussing the urgent need for a ceasefire in Gaza and improved humanitarian aid access in the region.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the conversation focused on the current developments in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. Dr. Abdelatty emphasized Egypt’s priority in striving for a ceasefire in Gaza amidst the severe humanitarian crisis. He highlighted Egypt’s commitment to easing the situation by organizing the Cairo Ministerial Conference to Enhance Humanitarian Response in Gaza, set to occur on December 2 in partnership with the United Nations.
Minister Abdelatty expressed hope that the conference outcomes would significantly contribute to reducing the hardships faced by Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. This initiative reflects Egypt’s dedication to collaborating with international partners to address and
mitigate the pressing humanitarian challenges in the region.
