Egypt’s diplomacy gives top priority to fostering the system of the United Nations to assume its role in protecting international peace and security in light of the current global interrelated and cross-border challenges, said Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty.
The minister’s remarks came Tuesday at a meeting with senior officials of the Foreign Ministry to review arrangements for Egypt’s participation at the High-level Meetings of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, due to be held this month.
Abdelatty highlighted serious challenges facing the Egyptian state, particularly at the security and strategic levels, said Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid.
The minister also voiced confidence in Egypt’s diplomatic efforts to defend national security and interests and overcome any international challenges. (MENA)
