Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry stressed Egypt’s appreciation of UN Secretary-General António Guterres’s efforts in maintaining international peace and security and bolstering the UN work.
Shoukry’s remarks came during his meeting with Guterres at the conclusion of his current visit to New York after he participated in the UN General Assembly meetings, the Foreign Ministry’s spokesman Ahmed Hafez said on Saturday 25/09/2021.
Earlier, Shoukry met with members of Egypt’s permanent mission to the UN and a galaxy of diplomats of the Egyptian mission in the US.
The top diplomat hailed efforts exerted to prepare for Egypt’s participation in the 76th session of the UN General Assembly.
