Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty expressed on Saturday 3/8/2024 to his Lebanese counterpart Abdullah Bou Habib Cairo’s support for Lebanon in the face of current threats amid escalating tensions in the region.
In a telephone call, FM Abdelatty assured Bou Habib of Cairo’s deep concern about the dangerously increasing escalation in the region and its potential impact on Lebanon’s security and stability.
Abdelatty shared with Bou Habib Cairo’s intensive communications with all concerned and influential parties to contain escalation in the region and safeguard the interests of the Lebanese people.
The Egyptian foreign minister also reaffirmed to his Lebanese counterpart Cairo’s call for collective efforts to prevent the current tensions from deteriorating into wider confrontations that threaten regional security and stability.
From his side, the Lebanese foreign minister expressed his appreciation for coordination with Egypt and its commitment to safeguarding Lebanon’s security, stability, and the
well-being of its people.
