In his statement on Friday, Maait said the supporting efforts serve the goal of reaching 100-billion-dollar of exports, a move could improve the life quality and services provided to the people.
The minister pointed out that the Export Development Fund continues to repay the export rebates to the exporters to provide them with the liquidity, needed to sustain their businesses and meet their liabilities, despite the challenges witnessed by the global markets due to the supply chain disruptions and price hikes in commodities and shipping costs.
Arrears worth EGP 34 billion were repaid to more than 2,500 companies from the Export Development Fund as part of the initiative of repaying rebates to exports, launched in 2019, he added.
