Finance Minister Mohamed Maait said investing in human capabilities is the cast-iron guarantee to benefit from comprehensive and integrated digital transformation programs.
Speaking at the opening session of the General Assembly of the Tax, Customs and Finance General Union, under Adel Abdel Fadil, the finance minister said “We are firmly proceeding with the implementation of the presidential directives by empowering young persons to take leadership positions.”
He added: “We have already succeeded in developing many workplaces in taxes, customs, real estate taxes and financial directorates.”
“We are continuing the process of modernization, in a way consistent with efforts exerted to achieve comprehensive and integrated digital transformation in all financial, tax and customs systems with the view to strengthening governance, raising public spending efficiency and integrating informal economy into the formal economy,” the finance minister said.
He also lauded the decisions and procedures taken by the government as per President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives to improve wages, pensions and allowances.
