DUBAI: Ihar Bryshtsel was on show once again at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup UAE 2024 as the Belarusian netted a hat-trick to help inflict a 4-0 defeat on Colombia.
Anatoliy Ryabko gave Belarus the lead with a free-kick, and that advantage was quickly doubled when Bryshtsel tapped home from underneath the crossbar. The Belarusians’ star man then helped himself to two more before the close of play to complete his first World Cup hat-trick.
Colombia did end on a high as Esleider Avila slotted home, but they couldn’t prevent Belarus from marching into the quarter-finals as group winners. The South Americans, by contrast, return home without a win.
