ABU DHABI: The Emirates International Endurance Village (EIEV) has marked a significant achievement with the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) approving its endurance racing system for use in world championship events. The EIEV owes the achievement to the patronage and support of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court.

Designed to optimise the management of endurance races, the EIEV’s innovative system ensures the accuracy of results and promotes fairness and transparency during endurance races worldwide. This landmark development represents a major leap forward and establishes the EIEV’s system as the first of its kind in the Middle East. The comprehensive system encompasses several components, including:

-Timing System: Accurately records the time spent by horses from the start of the race, throughout the course, and at each stage, calculating the time taken for each stage and the overall race duration.

-Horse H
eart Rate Monitoring System: Continuously monitors the heart rate of horses, ensuring their well-being and preventing overexertion.

-GPS Tracking System: Accurately tracks the location of horses throughout the race, providing real-time data for monitoring their progress and ensuring adherence to the racecourse.

EIEV has received the official FEI accreditation for its endurance racing system, paving the way for its implementation in the upcoming 2025 FEI Endurance World Championship for Young Riders and Juniors in Buftea, Romania on September 5-6.

This achievement reflects EIEV’s unwavering commitment to innovation and excellence in the field of endurance racing, further solidifying its position as a global hub for the sport.

He emphasised that the recent endorsement by the FEI of the village’s endurance racing system is a testament to its track record of achievements.
