A leading source in Hezbollah confirmed to Al-Mayadeen that the assassination attempt on the head of the party’s liaison and coordination unit, Wafiq Safa, which was carried out by the Israeli occupation, through its aggression on the Lebanese capital Beirut, on Thursday evening, failed.
This came after the Israeli occupation launched an aggression on the Lebanese capital, Beirut, making this attack the third outside the southern suburb, after targeting the Cola and Al-Bashoura areas.
The occupation carried out its aggression on Beirut through two raids; the first targeted Al-Nuwairi, while the second targeted Al-Basta neighborhood, which led to the martyrdom of 22 people and the injury of 117 others, according to what was announced by the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
In Al-Nuwairi, the Israeli raid targeted the third floor of an 8-storey building, where a fire broke out on one of the floors.
