Experience UAE’s Olympic House: An immersive cultural and sporting Emirati journey at Paris 2024 Olympics

The United Arab Emirates continues to welcome visitors to its first-ever UAE Olympic House during the Olympic Games Paris 2024, with this unprecedented free initiative for the public providing a unique immersive experience of Emirati culture right at the heart of the Games, which are being held until 11th August.

The UAE Olympic House has been designed around the concept of Sh’abi Houses, which are traditional Emirati homes. It invites visitors to immerse themselves in eight different rooms, with corresponding experiences including Al Sikka, the place of beginning, a narrow pathway, gateway to other places; Al Majlis, the place of welcoming, where guests are welcomed, people connect, and ideas are exchanged; Al Liwan, the place of connection, a shaded area that links different parts of a home; Al Meydan, the place of action, an open space used for sports and the centre of the action; Al Hiwi, the place of play, the courtyard, which is a versatile space for children’s play and everyday activities; Erth, the p
lace of socialising; and Al Dukkan, the place of memory.

Using the latest technology, the UAE Olympic House features three interactive augmented reality games inspired by traditional Emirati games.

To complement the visit, CaféErth has been designed for guests to sit, relax, and savour UAE-inspired food and drinks, creating a welcoming environment that blends tradition with modernity. Meaning ‘legacy’, Erth, a Michelin-star restaurant based in Abu Dhabi, provides an exclusive experience where the past, present, and future converge.

When leaving the House, guests pass through Al Dukkan, the place of memory, with the opportunity to purchase UAE-inspired gifts that celebrate the rich stories of the Emirates. The products are from FOUNT, a concept store based in Abu Dhabi, specialising in Emirati local crafts, such as palm weaving, with a contemporary twist.

The UAE Olympic House is an invitation to explore the rich cultural tapestry of the Emirates and discover the nation’s deep heritage, innovative spirit,
passion for sports and renowned warm hospitality.

Strategically located in the heart of Paris in Rue Cambon, near Place de la Concorde where events are taking place in the urban park, the UAE Olympic House is open to the public until 11th August, from 10:00 to 20:00 throughout the Olympic period. Entrance is free of charge.
