SHARJAH: The Digital Transformation Department at the Executive Office of H.H. Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, has convened three focus group sessions with individuals from various segments of the Sharjah community, aiming to involve them in the process of designing the unified digital platform and gather their perspectives and diverse suggestions, which will contribute to enhancing the user experience journey and meeting their needs when applying for services. This initiative is part of the Executive Office’s strategic plans to establish a dynamic and unified digital platform with advanced features that align with the future needs of the targeted audience.
The number of participants in the focus group reached 43. The first category, consisting of 27 people, was selected based on their participation in the community survey launched by the Executive Office of Her Highness in February to assess the awareness of the targeted audience in Sharjah of the organiza
tion led by Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Al Qasimi and the services provided to various segments of society. The other category of participants are 16 youth and young girls affiliated with the organizations under the Rubu’ Qarn’s umbrella. The participants expressed their interest in being part of designing the unified digital platform for all the organizations led by Her Highness.
The unified digital platform aims to provide all the services of the organizations led by Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi in a single digital window that serves the user and improves their experience in accessing the service. The unified digital platform will also be linked to the UAE Pass smart application to identify the user when applying for services that require personal identification. It will include a diverse range of organisations’ services designed based on user needs, expectations, and proactive anticipation of service requirements before submitting the request. These services will be; event managem
ent, reservations, consultations, recruitment, volunteering, and others.
Hind Hassan Al Zarooni, Digital Transformation and Strategy Advisor at Her Highness Executive Office, and Youness Soulayman, CTO and Executive Director of Smart Solutions at Blackstone Company, inaugurated the sessions with an introduction to the group members about the intended objectives of establishing the focus groups. Additionally, the participants were briefed on the organizations led by Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi that serve four crucial sectors: serving children and youth, serving women, serving families, and Philanthropic initiatives.
Following the introductions, an interactive series of questions and activities were posed to gather participants’ preferences on the design and structure of the unified digital platform, including the visual identity and artistic and technical design. It also focused on the comprehensive user experience, emphasizing the integrated “user journey” to identify the strengths
in the platform design and structure, as well as areas for enhancement to make the user experience faster and easier.
The session also focused on understanding the needs and expectations of the participants to enhance and develop the unified digital platform from the perspective of the service recipient, contributing to improving performance efficiency and the satisfaction level of users. The opportunity was extended to the members to propose a name for the unified digital platform smart application. Additionally, they were encouraged to share their ideas and suggestions on the features for delivering organizational services through the platform.
