HAMBURG: The Netherlands defeated Poland 2-1 in the opening match of the fourth round of the European Football Championship “Euro 2024”, which brought the two teams together today at the Volksparkstadion in the German city of Hamburg.
Poland took the lead through Adam Buksa in the 16th minute. However, Cody Gakpo equalised for the Netherlands in the 29th minute, before his teammate Wout Weghorst scored the winning goal in the 83rd minute.
