Baku: Environment Minister Yasmin Fouad and her Australian counterpart Chris Bowen were authorized by the Azerbaijani presidency of COP29 to submit the outcome of the consultations on achieving a New Collective Quantified Goal on Climate Finance. This handover occurred during their involvement in the session led by Azerbaijan’s presidency of COP29, which aimed to evaluate the leadership roles of the bilateral ministerial teams addressing urgent climate issues. This session was part of the ministerial segment activities of COP29 held in Baku.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Minister Fouad emphasized their successful management of consultations focused on infrastructure that could aid in financing through a series of meetings with various groups and stakeholders. These consultations are a crucial step in paving the way toward enhanced financial commitments and support for climate initiatives.
